What are ShareHim International Campaigns?

Have you ever thought about becoming an evangelist?
Over the past years literally thousands of lay men and women have done just that. Folks just like you who've said, "I could never do that!".

Think about this - teenagers, high school students, grandmothers and fathers, housewives, an airline pilot, a judge, 9-year olds, 91-year olds, blind people, people who couldn't speak, and a host of other lay men and women, many of which having never preached a sermon, have conducted their own evangelistic campaign.

ShareHim provides an opportunity for pastors and lay members to experience the Holy Spirit working through them in public evangelism. As a result of this unique ministry tens of thousands have been baptized.

Most church members are convinced they are not capable of doing public evangelism, espacially in a place where everyone knows them. ShareHim, on the other hand, could be just the right way to begin experiencing the thrill of a dramatic encounter with the Holy Spirit.

ShareHim is designed to remove as many obstacles as possible.

Here is how it works!

ShareHim invites pastors and lay members, even church members who have never before preached a sermon, to travel to a campaign site somewhere in the world. More than 800 annual international lay-led evangelistic meetings are conducted in 10 of the 13 divisions of the world church. Everything is ready and waiting for you. In other words, we partner with the local churches who prepare the spiritual ground before the meetings begin, and they welcome you, the inexperienced evangelist, with guidance and loving support. During two weeks you will preach about 18 meetings. The local churches also follow up and disciple the new believers in their walk with Christ.

All of the sermon and graphic materials are provided, and through daily mentoring, the volunteer evangelist is given help to know just what to say. In addition, ShareHim provides a one-day orientation for all the speakers and their support-team members just prior to the opening of the campaign.

Several thousands of people have done a ShareHim international campaign and every year about a thousand campaigns are organized by ShareHim around the world, mainly in Africa, India, the Philippines, and Central America. Many of these campaigns are done by students from Adventist colleges and universities in North America and Europe.

Jesus said, "Go ye therefore and teach all nations" (Matt. 28:19). That "ye" includes everybody, the gifted and the fearful, the assertive and the humble, the articulate and the stammerer. God promises to calm fears, provide words to say, and accepts full responsibility for the results. He only asks us to be willing to TRY!

The steps to step out in faith

  • Read the Handbook for Speakers & Helpers, which you'll find a link to on the front page.
  • Sign up on the ShareHim website by clicking Application Form on the front page.
  • Once approved start planning your trip, eg. buy tickets, get passport and visas etc.
  • Log in to the ShareHim website and tell us your flight arrival and departure information, as well as your room sharing preference at the hotel you will be staying at.
  • Keep an eye on the campaign overview for your date block on the website to see where exactly you will be assigned to speak.
  • Prepare/purchase/borrow or rent a computer with projector for showing the sermon notes (unless you use paper notes) and audience graphics.
  • Practice using the ShareSynch or Presentation Synchronizer software and preach several meetings for yourself/spouse/good friends to become familiar with the equipment and the sermon format.
  • When the time comes get on the plane and meet us for the orientation a couple of days before your meeting start.
  • Rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to preach with all your might during the two weeks.
  • Return home, and we would love to hear your experiences by writing a story/testimony on the website.
  • Now, go share your strengthened faith with your friends...

What does it cost? (Site-funding)

In the past, the number of international ShareHim campaigns and preaching opportunities was limited by available resources. We are excited to announce that these limits are no longer in place! Through the ShareHim Unlimited program, more speakers and teams can now partner financially with ShareHim to make an even greater impact on the world church.

When you apply you need to commit to partnering with ShareHim by raising $500 (occasionally $1200 USD) to fund the direct cost of your campaign. The entire amount will be sent by ShareHim directly to the local conference and site committee responsible for the campaign. The funds will be used for needs such as pre-campaign preparation, advertising, transportation, site construction or rental, equipment purchase or rental, translation, and campaign follow up. (Please be aware that you will still be responsible to pay for your own travel, lodging, meals, and other personal costs.)

In order to prepare for the campaign, the local site committee must receive the funds several months in advance. Funds will normally be sent to the host division through standard church channels - a process which can take several weeks. Because of these factors, a total of $500 USD (or $1200 USD for Cuba, India, Brazil) for your campaign costs must have been received by ShareHim no later than 6 weeks before the campaign begins.

Out of the $500 USD (or $1200 USD for Cuba, India, Brazil), a deposit of minimum $100 USD must be donated at the time of submitting the application form. The application will not be processed before the deposit has been received.


You may choose to make this donation yourself, either by credit card or check. As the last step to complete your speaker application form, you will be going directly to the donation page. There you can make a secure online donation, or view information on where to mail a check or make a donation over the phone.

Your church, Sabbath School class, family, or friends can also help you with this financial commitment. By clicking on "Make a Donation" on the ShareHim homepage (www.sharehim.org) friends and relatives can make a donation toward your campaign cost, or view information about donating by mail or phone.
